ARISHTAM / ASAVAM

These are herb oriented Ayurvedic fermented preparations containing self generated alcohol. In Arishta, suitable sugar substrates like jaggery, sugar or honey are dissolved in Kashaya (Decoction) and fermented in air tight vessels. The fermentation is augmented by the flower of Dhathaki.
